Urujeni Bakuramutsa takes over as new Permanent Secretary



 

 

 

 

 

 

Kigali, 15 October 2018 – Today, the Minister of State Amb. Olivier Nduhungirehe officiated the handover ceremony between the outgoing Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and East African Community, Claude Nikobisanzwe, and the incoming Permanent Secretary, Urujeni Bakuramutsa.

In his remarks, Minister of State Nduhungirehe thanked the outgoing PS Nikobisanzwe for his role and contribution in helping the Ministry achieve its assignments. He also welcomed the new PS Bakuramutsa and promised her full support and collaboration.

Ambassador-designate Nikobisanzwe expressed his gratitude towards H.E. President Kagame for appointing him as Rwandan Envoy in Mozambique. He also thanked the leadership and the staff of the Ministry for their support and cooperation during his tenure.

The new PS, Urujeni Bakuramutsa also expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the President for his trust in appointing her and pledged to give her contribution and make effort to carry out the assigned position in the best possible way.

Before her appointment, Urujeni Bakuramutsa was serving as Deputy Permanent Representative in the Permanent Mission of Rwanda to the United Nations.

A Cabinet Meeting held on 14 September 2018 and chaired by President Kagame appointed the outgoing PS Claude Nikobisanzwe as the first Rwandan High Commissioner to Mozambique.
