RWANDA HIGH COMMISSIONER TO UGANDA URGED RWANDANS LIVING IN UGANDA TO COME TO CAST THEIR VOTE ON 3rd AUGUST 2017



Friday 21st July, 2017 The High Commissioner of the Republic of Rwanda to Uganda hosts a Press Conference in order to brief media on the progress of Rwanda Presidential Election Scheduled to take place from 3rd to 4th August 2017.

The High Commissioner Frank MUGAMBAGE urged all Rwandans living in Uganda eligible to vote to come early morning on 3rd August 2017 at Rwanda High Commission in Kampala, Kitante to cast their vote because it is their constitutional right. 

 “Arrangements have been made for all our people in the Diaspora to register and vote wherever they are because it’s their right and responsibility as citizens of Rwanda to participate.

Journalist were informed, the Electoral commission received applications for presidential candidates and three candidates were approved, by National Election Commission and those candidate are His Excellency  Paul KAGAME, of Rwanda Patriotic Front (RPF-Inkotanyi), Frank HABINEZA, of Democratic Green Party of Rwanda, and Philippe MPAYIMANA, an independent candidate.

The High Commissioner further informed the media that campaigns were on-going throughout the country and there is wide media coverage, there is phenomenon support for the RPF Candidate, similar that shown earlier by the outcome of the National Referendum of December 2015, which highlighted the popular view of Rwandans for their choice of continuity and sustainability of extra- ordinary positive transformation the country has undergone under the leadership of H.E President Paul KAGAME, His leadership has guided Rwandans in making right choices and taking the country through difficult times, build peace and stability, established good and effective governance infrastructure that emphasizes and ensures accountability and service delivery as well as participatory democratic culture in which citizens play their role in contributing to policy formulation for the benefit of all.

The result of all this is the successful development process in social, economic and political spheres.
